Sammelan Announcements
Dear Fellow Konkanis,

Namaskaru

We are six weeks away from the much awaited Konkani Sammelan, which is being held after four years. Approximately 1,600 attendees have registered so far. Though we have received a strong registration response to-date, we are still far from meeting the financial goals of the Sammelan. As we had mentioned to you in our earlier emails, the registration fees pay for only one third of the expenses for a typical Sammelan. We deliberately keep the registration fee well below our cost to make it affordable for all. The other two thirds come from donations from people like you. Although we have taken extra care to procure supplies & services at bargain prices and wholesale discounts, please note that cost of goods, labor and other services in the New York/New Jersey area are typically very high; thus, the donations are vital.

I urge you embrace your Konkani spirit and donate graciously so that we can provide you with the best Konkani food, entertainment & amenities possible during the Sammelan. If you have already donated, we thank you for your generosity & would welcome any additional contributions to help make your Sammelan a success. I personally assure you that every penny of your donation will be utilized carefully & judiciously. Any excess funds will be turned over to NAKA for future Sammelans & Youth programs.

Please click here to donate or go to our website. I thank you in advance.
